Global social problems represented by the SDGs Sustainable Development Goals are rapidly and diversely becoming more serious and require more serious action. These social issues, including digitalisation and the COVID-19 pandemic, cannot be solved by individual technological developments. Under these circumstances, there are growing expectations for universities to combine the wisdom of the humanities and sciences to promote the resolution of social issues together with government machinery, industry and the business community.
